We believe in delivering the most functional and clean products. Each of our formulations are rooted in holistic medicinal practice; drawing upon the ancient wisdom of plant-based healing to activate and support our body’s own natural regenerative process. We curate our products to focus on high quality, single origin ingredients while supporting best-practice farming, and emphasizing earth-friendly packaging.

The Botanyst began with the sole intent of crafting mindful beauty and wellness products. This is a core philosophy and integral to the DNA of our company. Every decision we make has an impact and we are committed to a sustainable environmental agenda to support personal health and well-being.

Connection to mother earth’s healing through the power of plants can only come from a deep understanding of what is in each product and where it came from. The purpose of tracing ingredients is to ensure that we are working with growers that support cultivation practices that meet our standards. This also allows us to ensure the highest quality of ingredients in each formulation.

We aim to source ingredients that are certified-organic and cruelty free and wildcrafted when possible.

We choose every bottle, jar and topper with consideration of where the packaging component began and where it may end up. Recycling is complicated and many well intended product packages end up in landfill. Plastic is especially problematic for our environment- where mismanagement of waste and the economics of recycling are disjointed from our expectations as consumers.

We endeavor to reduce this complexity and provide you with a sustainable approach through package reuse education and refill stations at retail when possible. Our aim is to encourage reuse of bottles to reduce packaging waste impact on the environment.

Packaging that supports sustainability.

  • Glass Packaging

Heavy bottom glass bottles are endlessly reusable. We also minimize the potential of degradation of our products by using glass bottles.

  • Compostable Materials

Our packaging inserts are made of mycellium and hemp hurd which are grown materials. They are home compostable and not to mention simply stunning.

  • FSC-certified paper

Our gift boxes and paper tubes are made of FSC-certified paper. The FSC requires products that bear an FSC-certified label to go through a “chain of custody” from the forest to the manufacturer to the merchant and finally, to the printer, when applicable. Independent, third-party auditors conduct chain-of-custody assessments of companies that would like to achieve FSC certification. The FSC also requires a management plan, which outlines the scale and intensity of logging and renewal operations in addition to long-term objectives for maintaining the health of the forest.

  • Eco-friendly labels

Our product labels are made on a type of eco-friendly material that is 80% calcium carbonate, which is a base miner and inorganic compound and 20% polyethylene resin.
